Joe Burrow Dominates Despite Cart-Off; Diagnosed with Powerful Strained Calf During 11-on-11 Practice

After Joe Burrow had to be carried off late in Thursday’s training camp session, the Bengals are holding their breath during training camp at Kettering Health Practice Fields in CINCINNATI, OHIO. Reporters were informed by Bengals coach Zac Taylor that the top quarterback has a calf injury.
Chase told reporters why he believes Burrow will recover even though there has been no official announcement on the severity of the injuries or any confirmed update on his condition.

Paul Dehner Jr. of TheAthletic.com quotes Chase as saying, “We always give each other that nod,” during a practice. “He nodded to me to let me know he was well. He is a powerful man.

Chase continued, “I felt better after getting the nod even though I hadn’t yet seen Burrow in the training room.”
Taylor stated, “It was 10 minutes ago, so we don’t have any additional information.”

Joe Burrow sustained the injury

Joe Burrow sustained the injury when rolling to his right during an 11-on-11 practice and then coming up limping to the ground. On the play, Burrow seemed to favor his right leg.

Joe Burrow’s right leg was covered by a sleeve, raising suspicions that he might already be injured.
Burrow’s injury occurs at a critical juncture for both himself and the Bengals. After losing in the AFC title game and the Super Bowl the previous season, Cincinnati is hoping to break through in 2023 and win a Super Bowl.
